This is the free Event Edition of BlindSquare, provided by MIPsoft and Acapela.

BlindSquare Event Edition is specifically designed to work exclusively at the time and location of various events that are of special interest to the blind community. By opting for the demo mode, users can virtually experience the functionalities of the app, as it simulates a designated location, offering a hands-on trial opportunity.

BlindSquare provides users with an immersive perception of their surroundings through auditory cues, making it an invaluable tool for individuals with visual impairments.

BlindSquare is an innovative solution that leverages cutting-edge technology to assist individuals who are blind in their day-to-day activities. Developed in close collaboration with visually impaired individuals and rigorously field-tested, BlindSquare requires either an iPhone or an iPad to operate effectively. Additionally, it offers support for certain accessories that further enhance the user experience.

At its core, BlindSquare utilizes GPS and compass functionalities to ascertain the user's precise location and then retrieves relevant information about the surrounding area from FourSquare. Employing proprietary algorithms, BlindSquare discerns pertinent details and articulates them using advanced speech synthesis technology.

When used as a GPS solution, BlindSquare provides real-time insights into nearby points of interest and street crossings upon launching the application. Users can customize their search radius, filter results by category or search term, and access contact information, social media feeds, or initiate phone calls pertaining to specific locations.

Moreover, BlindSquare offers navigational features such as tracking a destination, receiving turn-by-turn guidance through favored navigation apps, and alerting users about notable establishments while traveling via different modes of transportation.
